Visura summarizes, indexes, and lets you chat with your documents. Upload a revision and unchanged sections keep their summaries — only what actually changed gets processed.

Version 4 of 4·94 sections·sample data
Sections 00–93, in reading order
Want to see it on your own document?
Upload a PDF, then a revision of it. Visura hashes every section and reprocesses only the ones whose text actually changed.
Fig. 1 — Sample readout: a 94-section document going from version 3 to version 4. Reprocessing skipped 68 of 94 sections; an estimated 68,000 tokens saved.
Upload it, then watch it work
Your summary page opens before the run finishes and reports its progress while sections are summarized in small batches.
Text is read in your browser first — up to 50 pages of text per PDF; fully scanned PDFs are OCR'd (up to 10 pages). Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files are read directly.

Uploading
The file is stored; the full text is hashed — an identical file returns the existing summary.
Extracting text
In your browser, before the file uploads.
Chunking document
~1,000 characters per chunk, split on word boundaries, each hashed with SHA-256.
Generating embeddings
Embeddings are cached by content hash.
Detecting sections
Section count scales with document length.
Extracting insights
AI insights for the finished summary.
Building knowledge graph
One of the finished summary's five views.
Finalizing
Chunk summaries merge into the final summary; the version records its totals.

The eight stages of a finished run, and the events the version records along the way. Durations aren’t shown.
Only what changed gets read again
Every ~1,000-character section is hashed with SHA-256. A revision keeps the summaries whose hash still matches and sends only the new sections to the model. Upload an identical file and nothing is reprocessed at all.

Version 3 to version 4 of the sample document. Sections 41–60 and 83–88 changed; the other 68 kept their summaries.
Five states, nothing hidden
Each section says what happened to it: kept, processed, still running, recovered after a failure, or stopped by the daily limit.
reused
#0D786C / #37D2BE
cached from a previous version
the hash matched and the summary was kept
new
#A65808 / #F2A93B
processed this version
only these chunks were sent to the model
in flight
#5B7690 / #7E9BBB
queued or processing right now
drawn hollow, never a fake spinner
replayed
#C13B72 / #F07CB8
any incomplete version can be replayed
finished chunks are never reprocessed
blocked
#BF3B2F
the daily processing budget was exceeded
the run stopped before anything was written
A replay, mid-run
A moment during version 2’s replay. The failed run left nine sections unsummarized; the replay recovered three, has six in flight, and never touched the finished ones. Any incomplete version can be replayed.

“You've reached today's processing limit. Please try again tomorrow.”
Checked before anything is written. No partial state.
The legend, and the two states the readout above never shows: a replay in progress, and a run the daily limit stopped.
Every change, on the record
When a version finishes, each change is recorded with a type, a summary, the sections it touched, and a confidence score; the app shows them on a document timeline and a delta view.

Ten kinds of change
Four changes recorded between version 3 and version 4 of the sample document, pinned to the sections that changed.
Ask it anything; it cites the page
Every answer comes back with the page number, the snippet, and the section it was drawn from, so you can check it against the document.
Chat with a document in sessions. For long documents (over 5,000 characters) context is retrieved by embedding similarity over the document’s own sections. Embeddings are cached by content hash.

Five ways into one document
The summary, the sections under it, what the run cost, what the model found, and a graph of how the pieces connect.

Everyone reads the same version
Share a document into a workspace with four roles — owner, admin, member and viewer. Everyone opens the current version, so nobody is mailing revisions around.

Every change leaves a trail
Shares, comments, invitations and version changes are logged as they happen. Workspace chat and search run across every document in the space.
